Episode 26

EP026: Special Guest Liam Hand, Transformational Coach

This week's podcast and Happy Appy theme is self-care.

This week we talked to Transformational Coach Liam Hand about self-care, why it's so important and what self-care techniques he uses with his clients and himself to look after his clients and his own mental health and wellbeing.

Liam describes himself as a transformational coach, aiming to help people change, release what has been holding them back, and move towards their true potential.

His focus is on helping people to release fear and anxiety as quickly as possible and to build real confidence and self-esteem. To make huge, rapid shifts in their mindset and to discover resilience by accessing their own inner resources.

Liam uses a combination of coaching and therapy, combining hypnotherapy with other fast techniques and strategies such as TFT (Thought Field Therapy) tapping and a variety of coaching approaches from NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming).

Liam talked about always keeping things as simple and as practical as possible, his view is that 'simple gets done' so finding simple techniques and strategies are the most effective way for people to incorporate them into their routines. When it comes to self-care, he feels consistency is more important than the length of time you practice.

You can find out more about Liam on his website: www.liamhand.com and @liamhandcoaching on Instagram and on Facebook: Liam Hand Coaching.

Kedren Elliott

My name is Kedren, yes Kedren (my name is a bit strange, like myself).

I'm currently finishing my final year's training to become a counsellor and work at North Staffs Mind.
I'm also someone who has struggled with my mental health and lived with friends and family who have also faced challenges.

Through the happiness hub, I really want to help as many people as I can to find ways to live happier. It doesn't have to be complicated, there are little things we can do every day to help with our mental health and feel happier.

So that's a bit about me, but you can find out more by listening to our Hub Podcast!

Liz Parkin

I'm Liz, Kedren's podcasting side-kick, close friend and gin-buddy for over 10 years.

My mental health challenges started in my early teens and continued through a rather traumatic year in 2004.

It was at this point that I discovered Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) which quite literally changed my life - or maybe my perception on life...

In this podcast I will share with you some of the tips and techniques that I learned whilst training for my NLP Practitioner and then Master Practitioner over 14 years ago. NLP got me through some very dark times and given me a bag of mindset tools and strategies to help me keep my mental health, well... healthy!
